Walking down Nanquidno Valley to Maen Dower 

Nanquidno valley is a special place to visit. The road winds down through trees in a very sheltered valley and is replaced by a track that follows a babbling brook towards the sea. Once a place of industry, but now deserted, it still bears the scars of it's mining past, but these have mostly been reclaimed by nature. The beautiful teal sea crashes majestically over round boulders below in this haven for birds, including rare Choughs, often heard crying above the sound of the swell.
